Drake Album "Nothing was the same" Leaks out.

Drake's "Nothing Was the Same" leaked out online on Sunday night, September 15. The album, which follows up the Canadian rapper's 2011 release "Take Care", unexpectedly arrived more than one week ahead of its official release date, September 24.

One track that draws fans' attention is "Pound Cake/Paris Morton Music 2". Drake worked with Jay-Z for the song, which features the 36-year-old rap mogul reworking Kanye West's famous "sunglasses and Advil" line as "Last night was mad trill, I'm fresh out of Advil, Jesus grab the wheel." 

"Nothing Was the Same" also includes Drake's collaborations with the likes of 2 Chainz, Big Sean, Jhene Aiko, Sampha, Majid Jordan and Detail. 

He has also dropped a track called "Wu-Tang Forever", a tribute to New York-based hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan. It has been reported that the surviving members of the group are working on a remix to the song.

Wu-Tang Clan's U-God said "They wanted us to remix it and get on there [so] you gon' probably hear another one with us on it," he also said "Meth did his verse - we all did our verses. I wrote my rhyme in probably 15, 20 minutes. We were moving so fast we only had about four hours of studio time. If I had some time to really sit down and get juicy with it, I probably could've got juicier with it. But I still do a nice one, I still do a real banger."

His second record, B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time, has produced three top-20 hits and a slew of collaborations with stars as diverse as Pharrell, Drake and Diplo.
And he's officially a top choice for rappers looking for a guest - 2 Chainz charges a cool $100,000 for a verse, according to Kanye West on BBC Radio's 1Xtra.

But 2 Chainz took a break from his music on Thursday to tackle a different task: Filming for Music Choice's Take Back Your Music Campaign, which he did at Other Music in New York City.
The ad campaign, which has featured Robin Thicke, Luke Bryan, A$AP Rocky and others, highlights Music Choice's library of music videos and digital music channels.
The 36-year-old rapper certainly dressed to impress: He donned a flashy hooded t-shirt emblazoned with two huge gold chains, some spotless white trousers and a pair of thick-rimmed sunglasses.

He didn't forget his namesake, of course: A thick gold chain and pendant hung from his neck.

Though he made a couple mixtapes under the name Tity Boy, the turnaround in his career came as he picked up a focused work ethic - inspired by Lil Wayne, who 2 Chainz opened for on a 2008 tour.

'Having a phone full of millionaires and not being one bothered the hell out of me,' the rapper says, referencing the peers that he saw and interacted with on a daily basis.

Miley Cyrus defends her Wrecking Balls video

Miley Cyrus keeps a low profile with a blanket over her head while leaving her hotel and heading to the airport on Thursday morning (September 12) in London, England.

The 20-year-old actress/singer recently defended her controversial music video for her latest single “Wrecking Ball.”

“I think the video is much more [than that],” Miley told Elvis Duran on his radio show. “If people get past the point I make, and you actually look at me, you can tell I look more broken than even the song sounds.”

Miley added, “The song is a pop ballad that everyone can relate to; everyone has felt that feeling at some point. If people can take their minds off the obvious and go into their imagination and see what the video really means, it is so vulnerable.”

The second year student of the University of Coventry, UK, recalls "I think the most embarrassing moment for me happened at the US embassy. As a queen, I went there for the US visa in my full regalia, the dress, the crown, everything. And you won't believe me, they denied me the visa. It was so embarrassing. I later went back after my reign as Fiona Amuzie and this time they gave me."

RIDDICK Set to Hit Number One (Video), Vin Dinsel

Vin Diesel has made the Fast & Furious franchise into a cash cow for himself and everyone involved with making the action-packed movies. This weekend, he’s turned to reinventing the Riddick Chronicles series of flicks, with his latest blockbuster, Riddick. Will it be the latest Vin Diesel movie to be box office gold and hit number one?

For the famous action hero/convict Richard Riddick, life is anything but a bowl of cherries, as he has to face Necromongers, monster-sized scorpions, and two teams of bounty hunters who are after his head.

The series originated with Pitch Black (2000), then was followed by the sequel The Chronicles of Riddick (2004).

The third movie of the series, Riddick, has Richard Riddick stranded on an alien world. He’s been left there by the evil Necromongers, who believe that he must have perished. Riddick has to fight for his life in this exciting, violent-filled science fiction fantasy flick.

Diesel said that his “decades playing ‘Dungeons & Dragons’” and the fact that he is a fan of mythology drew him to the character of Richard Riddick and got him interested in playing the role.

According to Vin Diesel:

…the wonderful thing about ‘Riddick’ is that it’s a cult franchise at its heart.”
Besides starring in Riddick, Vin Diesel also produced it, unlike the first two movies in the series, whose writer/director has been David Twohy from the first film onward. He and Diesel have become friends over the years, and now, Diesel’s also a part owner of the franchise, so he has a lot of stake in making the movie a box office success.

Twohy has referred to their relationship by saying that they are like “co-conspirators.” he added that what he and Diesel did, resurrecting the series, felt to him “like the crime of the century.”

Vin Diesel realizes that the Riddick flicks haven’t been nearly as popular, so far, as the Fast & Furious movies. Pitch Black, for example, cost $23 million to make and its gross was 39.2 million. In contrast, The chronicles of Riddick cost more to make — #105 million — and it just managed to make $57 million.

The acting superstar has a lot riding on how well Riddick does at the box office — to finance the movie, Diesel mortgaged his own house.

I’m predicting that Riddick will be another box office hit for Vin Diesel. I doubt if it will earn nearly as much as the last Fast & Furious movie, but I think it will be number one this weekend at the box office.

Once Diesel makes enough money from his movies, he’s said ot Craig Ferguson on The Late, Late Show that he is thinking aobut making a movie about the life of the military leader, Hannibal.

“He enticed my wife with money because he is rich, my best friend seduced my wife" Blind man tells court

A blind man, Mr Shaibu Ibrahim, 56, of Aso Pada in Mararaba, Nasarawa State on Thursday told a Grade 1 Area Court in Mararaba that his friend, Shehu Sarki, 62, allegedly enticed his wife with money and seduced her.
In his testimony to the court, Ibrahim said that he became friends with the accused some time last year when the accused assisted him to secure accommodation at Gwagalape, near Nyanya in the FCT. “He enticed my wife with money because he is rich, “He took advantage of a little misunderstanding I had with my wife over N1,000. “He was my very good friend. When he intervened, I thought he was concerned for me. I did not know that he had other evil plans,”

Ibrahim told the court that the accused was the one who instigated his wife against him. “When I could not provide the N1000 daily savings to secure a house, he took my wife and gave her another room in his compound. “Each time I go to see her or sit on her bed, she will send me out and say she has no business with me and that she has gotten herself a real husband now. “The accused began threatening me. He even told me that he has the money power to take my wife and marry her,”
Ibrahim alleged that his wife through Sarki’s influence, has offered to pay him back the N19,000 he paid as dowry on her.
After hearing Ibrahim’s testimony, the Presiding Judge, Mr Albert Maga, adjourned the case to Sept. 16, for defence.

It's been recalled that on Aug.27, Ibrahim dragged Sarki, his friend and Chairman of the Blind Peoples’ Association in Aso Pada to court for allegedly enticing his wife, Lami, 23.
On the same date, Ibrahim told the court that the accused was the one who introduced him to Lami amd later enticed her and took her away from him

I-Nigeria celebrates Omotola, Ice Prince’s feats

   

The Coordinator of I-Nigeria Initiative, Ada Apiafi, has described the recent successes of entertainment divas, such as Star actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde and Ice Prince, as symbolising the true Nigerian spirit. As a result, Apiafi not only wants Nigerians to continue to appreciate the artistes, but to think positively about the country.

While Jalade-Ekeinde was, some months ago, named one of the TIME’s 100 Most Influential Personalities, singer Ice Prince won the Best Hip-Hop Africa Award at the BET Awards held in Los Angeles, USA.

According to Apiafi, a recent development that should also not go unnoticed is the example of Mosunmola ‘Mo’ Abudu, who recently inaugurated EbonyLife TV, described as Africa’s first Global Black Multi-Broadcast Entertainment Network, with programmes showcasing Nigeria’s burgeoning middle class.

The I-Nigeria boss says, “These are just a few inspiring stories coming from within Nigeria and they are all extraordinary. Some of our stories don’t get to make news headlines. These are everyday Nigerians doing noble deeds, surviving against all odds, and who just believe in maintaining the dignity of being Nigerians.”

She says I-Nigeria is out to slamps out negative references which, according to her, many people make about their fatherland. Apiafi  says I-Nigerian  is a privately initiated Perception Transformation Initiative set up to drive what its promoters call ‘The Nigerian Renaissance Project’ into the consciousness of Nigerians at home and abroad, and to the global community, with special emphasis on the positives.

She adds, “It is both a process and a series of programmes designed to recapture the heart, soul and concept of being Nigerian, by showcasing in every sphere, the good in Nigeria and Nigerians, by Nigerians themselves.  It is not what we see but what is being reported. There are many good and positives that could, and should be reported as well.

“When Nigeria recently made it into the list of the 50 Most Reputable Countries in the World, not many media outfits celebrated it! Before now, the country was not even considered for ranking. A 24-year-old Nigerian, Uwa Imafidon, just graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in the US, with a Masters degree in Microbiology, with a 4.0 CGPA – out of the maximum 4.0 CGPA. Before her sojourn abroad, she had earlier bagged a first class degree in Crop Science from the University of Benin, as the Best Graduating Student in her Department.

“A few years ago, Jelani Aliyu from Sokoto State,  who schooled in Kebbi, won a global design competition organised by General Motors. Sadly, the good attention that we should be basking in is being tainted by the news of insurgencies, challenges to our national security, and a myriad issues that spark more negative news about Nigerians as a people. Nigerians – individually and collectively – are left with a battered trust and confidence in their Nigerianness.”

She says I-Nigeria’s mandate to the people is simple: to speak about positives and be proud of them rather than insist on the negativities.

“Negatives are present, and even more prevalent in other climes, but are not often screamed on the front pages of newspapers. There is a saying that nobody can make you inferior without your consent.  Over the years, a subtle inferiority complex has crept into the consciousness of the average Nigerian, especially in the way we talk about ourselves – we tend to spend more time talking about the bad than the good.”

Fatherhood delights me, says Tom Ford

"I view the future differently," the designer says of how he's changed since the birth of his son last September.

Things have been different for Tom Ford in his first year of fatherhood. Tom featured in the latest WSJ. Magazine issue, the fashion mogul reveals how fatherhood has altered his life — and made him a happier person. Ford welcomed baby Alexander John Buckley Ford (nicknamed "Jack") into the world with long-time partner Richard Buckley last September via a surrogate.

"I'm generally happier than I've ever been," Ford tells the magazine. "I'm really happy when I see my son in the morning. I'm also happy to walk in here to my office and see everyone working. I'm happy to have certain meetings. Then I'm not happy to have other ones."

The super-busy Ford, 52, is also said to be learning to be more flexible. "Spontaneity was not a word in his vocabulary until now," says artist and friend Lisa Eisner in the article. "You can't go, 'OK, listen baby, you're going to be on this schedule, and you're going to do all this.' You can try, but that rug is going to be pulled out from under you all the time."

Despite the spontaneity, Ford says his son actually brings him into a calmer frame of mind. "Spending time with [Jack] is meditative," he says. "You forget about everything. You forget about yourself."

Member writes an Open Letter to Pastor Fatoyinbo, COZA Pastor

One of Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo Church members wrote an pen letter to him, got this and so I decided to share this with you guys.... Don't blame me i like "Amebo".  And for those who have not been following the story. check here and here for previous stories.

Open Letter: 

I’m not in support of Pastors living reckless lives, but before we crucify Pastor Biodun, I want us to know that no one, and I repeat, no one is above sexual fall. As I tell my friends in church, ‘konji’ is not a respecter of anointing… Sex does not respect speaking in tongues, it has a power of its own.

Sir,

It is with a very sad and heavy heart I write you this letter. I have observed quietly this fracas that has erupted and has soiled your name. I must admit, Sir, that I’m a big fan of yours; I so much enjoy every of your ministrations. Though I’ve never attended any branch of COZA, I regularly follow your teachings online through tweets from the COZA handle @COZANigeria.

Sir, so many people have condemned you and passed judgment; others have questioned the annointing and call of God on your life. My question to them is whether they were there when you received God’s call.

So many do not understand that there’s a special grace that is on the lives of Christian ministers. King David in the Bible was a notorious rake, a consistent sinner; yet he was still so much loved by God. So many of them feel they understand how things work. But they do not. I have come to realize that there’s a special grace ministers have, so when they flop, its best to leave them to God. I know so many intelligent men would disagree with this line of thought, but I’ve also learnt that God works in mysterious ways, and we can’t question his actions…and also we can’t use the intelligence of this earth to understand the things of the Spirit.

My pastor, I totally understand how you feel. This period must really be a trying one for you. I am also a Christian Minister, and I can fully comprehend the gravity of this issue. I know so many people have attacked you on this issue. They fail to understand that being a Pastor doesn’t make you less human. We fail to understand that being a Pastor or Man of God doesn’t mean that one is above sexual urges.

I once prayed a very funny prayer. I asked God to stop creating beautiful ladies. I wanted more ugly females around, as this would help reduce my attraction to them. If only they can realize that pastors have more sexual temptations than any other person…if only they can realize that ministers are more exposed to very pretty ladies, who are sometimes ready to do anything with the man of God. Even the Bible says that seven virgins will run after a man…talk less of a fire branded Man of God.

If you still doubt me on the issue of ladies’ attraction to men of God, let me take you on a journey to the days of Jesus Christ. We can remember the story of the woman who poured an expensive perfume on the feet of Jesus and used her hair to clean it. Do we just think that the whole process was so holy, maybe Jesus was even speaking in tongues as she carried on…imagine a very pretty lady using her hair to clean your feet. One thing we must note is that Jesus was in human form as at that time and had a woman adoring him in that way; I’ll leave the rest of the story to your imagination.

My pastor, I don’t want this to bring your spirit man down, most times people think our pastors are very perfect creatures, whose lives are without sin and temptation. They expect them to live above sin, forgetting that they are still made of flesh and blood and can fall at any time..except for the power of the Holy Spirit.

Lest we forget, the race is not for the swift nor for the strong, but for those who God shows mercy.

Now, Pastor Biodun…we need to hear something re-assuring from you. We don’t need you to tell us that you never had anything to do with that girl…if it’s not true. We want the whole truth from you..sir. We want you to come clean…and with a promise to try preventing it from happening. In a country as corrupt as ours, where people we respect lie and do evil and feel good about it, it would do your image a whole lot of good to come out and come clean. So many of us will respect you the more.

Sir, you see the beauty of God’s mercy is that it is abundant for us. The Bible says that we should come boldly to the throne of grace and obtain mercy. Sir, I’m sure you can remember the first fall of man. Adam and Eve truly disappointed God, it was so painful that the people He so much loved, created with His hands, gave every good thing to could repay Him with such sin…but what most of us Christians don’t see there is that even after the fall, God CLOTHED them. He made clothes from the skins of an animal and covered their shame.

Sir, you might be disgraced, but never forget that God will cover your nakedness and set your feet on high.

2face initiates N6m peace awards

Our very own "2 baba"  or call him 2face Idibia, is introducing the “2face Peace Awards” to promote peace and support young Nigerians involved in peace projects in their communities.

According to "2Baba" six winners would be selected for the awards. According to him, the six categories are Women-led Peace Building, Youth Peace Building, and Peace building in the environment (for those having conflicts over resources).

Others award categories are Projects on urban violence and community peace building, the use of technology or Social Media for peace building and Mediation directed at reducing violence against women and girls.

The RnB star said that N1million would be presented to each winner, along with opportunities to attend key global peace summits and exchange programmes in 2014.

Mr Idibia said that almost a quarter of the world lived in areas affected by military or civil conflicts.

He, however, noted that there were young people who were busy building bridges across communities.

“These young people are mostly unnoticed but you will find them working hard in various places, educating people and helping to manage conflicts and promoting peace.

“They have become community leaders in peace building, reconciliation and post -conflict reconstruction, thereby establishing themselves as the next generation of leaders.

“As we march towards Nigeria’s centenary celebrations in 2014, more than anything else, we choose to celebrate these young unsung heroes, who are active in their communities, promoting peace.

“We want to celebrate them through the ‘2face Peace Awards’’, ‘’ Idibia said.

Going Foward: Ese Walter writes for the last time, Hopefully.

Ese Walter is back giving us the continuation of her fairy-tale, where she accused the Snr pastor of COZA, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo. 

Here is what she wrote on her Personal Blog:

"The past week has ‘killed’ me. It has stripped me of whatever ‘self-importance’ I nursed in the corners of my mind. It has broken me and opened me up to my real self. It has brought me to a deeper level of self-awareness, one I am most grateful for.

When I sat with my MacBook to type my last blog, I never imagined it would generate the kind of attention it did and continues to. I have one last thing to say on this issue before I lay it to rest and move on. (I also hope others can move on too, we have too much going on in this Country to continue to peddle one for longer than necessary.)

A very big thank you to everyone that has felt it necessary to talk about this issue and spread it throughout Nigeria and the foreign scene. I read every email sent to me with awe that people would take the time out to reach a total stranger like me. Some were cursing, calling me a witch from the pit of hell sent to destroy the church as though one individual/church is bigger than the body of Christ. As though God is mere man and would cringe in heaven saying, “Ese don did it this time.” Or as if the good Book didn’t state clearly that ALL things work out for good for those that love God.

Do you love God? If yes, trust that it will ALL turn around for good.

Some people say, ‘I support you, you are brave and courageous’ and I wonder if those terms really define me. I do not think I am brave or courageous. I do know, however that after decades of sleepwalking through life, I am now becoming aware not just of myself but also of my environment, my world, and the universe.

Some say, put out the evidence and we will believe you. Hmmm, the morning I sat to write that post, I really didn’t expect anyone to believe me. Well, apart from those involved. And my motive was simple, let one more woman be spared. Let one more minister of the gospel be mindful and let the church rise up to its responsibilities as God’s legal representatives here in the earth realm.

A copy of the ‘evidence’ is with a respected minister of the gospel should the christian body decide to deal with this issue now and that becomes needful. I am not looking to have a ‘me against them’ case where I need to prove I’m right and someone is wrong. I am far from right, but I have used the only means available to me to free myself of the bondage I put myself in.

Lastly, to all the media people seeking interviews and whatever else mailing me, I have nothing more to say on this issue. I cannot reply every email as reading them is beginning to seem like a new job.
I remember asking a friend once while reading the book of Acts, “Why do we no longer operate in the power the disciples did in Jesus day?” What has changed? How do we ‘unchange’ it?

God is not mocked, if we serve Him, let’s serve Him. We cannot continue to grow as a Nation by oppressing, delaying justice, hating, having the ME ME ME mentality. As Martin Luther King Jr said, ‘no one is free until we are all free.’

Things have got to change and it begins with us. It begins with each and every one of us borrowing courage to stand for what we believe in. Fela Durotoye once said, ‘that thing that annoys you most in society is a sign that you carry its solution.’ (I’m
paraphrasing)

Nothing has called out to me more than people, especially women, suffering in some way and hiding the pain. Whatever we cover doesn’t go away. It grows and it finds different outlets to rear its ugly head until we deal with it.

I am not perfect, I will never be, but I am enough to try what I feel might work. I don’t know what the entire bible says but I am learning and applying the little I find out
daily. And I think everyone owes it to himself or herself to figure it out for
themselves.

At the end of the day, we agree that ‘men of God’ are firstly men, right? This means it’s needless expecting them to help you in your growth with God. I fell into that trap of thinking a ‘man of God’ is equated to God and it is not new to find people fall in that hole.

How do you begin to learn to serve a God you have never seen? It takes another level of faith to do that but we live in a generation/Country where people don’t want to study for themselves. They don’t want to read the Scriptures. Well, they don’t want to read, period. They want to pursue things instead and have somebody do the praying and studying for them. If you fall in that category, you need to repent.

I learnt that when the veil was torn, we all were given equal access to the Father. No matter how long you may have been in church, if you don’t know what that means you better ask somebody. And seek a real relationship with the God you claim to serve.

That is what I am spending most of my time doing these days. Praying, studying, seeking, knocking. The peace I have felt despite all the hate mails and tantrums shows that God is not angry with me and I did what I needed to do to the best of my understanding.

My apologies to everyone this has affected in one way or another.
Firstly, my family: I don’t know how you guys aren’t sick of me yet  
Secondly, ‘the body of Christ,’ my intention was never to cause trouble but to stop a rot I felt might spread and become worse if nobody spoke up about it.

Lastly, to those who said I shouldn’t blog again, I respect and understand your concerns but the truth is, writing is not just my gift, it is also my ‘curse’. I cannot ‘NOT’ write but I PROMISE, this is the last I will say on this issue except the christian body needs to see me.

God is building His church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. No sin is too big to wreck anyone’s faith. If it does, then it means it’s working out a greater good for you. You will definitely come out stronger and better in the end. Like my best friend says “in the end, it will be all right and if it ain’t alright, it’s notthe end.”
